Position Summary
Olympia Tile is seeking an experienced System Administrator to maintain and secure the company’s IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, user accounts, and security systems. This role ensures high availability, performance, and security of all systems that underpin business operations across multiple branches. The ERP System Administrator will work closely with the IT team and external vendors to manage system updates, troubleshoot complex issues, and implement improvements that support both local and enterprise-wide technology initiatives.
What You’ll Do
In this role, you will oversee the administration of our on-premise infrastructure, ERP environment, and core business systems. You will support system enhancements, own application performance monitoring, and collaborate closely with internal teams and external partners to ensure seamless integration and long-term stability across all locations.
Key Responsibilities
Infrastructure Administration
- Manage and maintain on-premise servers, storage systems, and network infrastructure.
- Administer ERP systems, Active Directory, Microsoft SQL Server, IIS, group policies, and Google Workspace.
- Lead ERP environment upgrades, enhancements, and rollout planning with minimal disruption to operations.
- Own application performance monitoring and optimization across the ERP environment.
- Support configuration and maintenance of business systems integrated with the ERP (SQL Server, IIS, SSRS).
Support & Collaboration
- Provide Tier 2/3 support for escalated infrastructure and application issues.
- Work with ERP and business teams to ensure system dependencies and integrations function effectively.
- Support onboarding and offboarding processes; ensure compliance with IT policies and security standards.
- Manage major IT projects in partnership with the Managed Service Provider (MSP).
Projects & Continuous Improvement
- Support large-scale ERP integration or implementation projects.
- Document and maintain IT Administration SOPs; enhance the Knowledge Base with ERP configurations and customizations.
- Support IT governance, security, and compliance initiatives.
What You Bring
Required
- 4–7+ years of experience in Windows Server and SQL Server administration.
- Strong knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, Microsoft SQL Server, IIS, and SSRS.
- Familiarity with virtualization, networking, and backup/recovery solutions.
- Experience completing SQL tasks, including stored procedures, backups/restores, and SQL Agent job configuration.
- Excellent troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills.
Preferred
- Microsoft or CompTIA certifications (MCSA, Server+, Security+, Windows Server Hyper-V).
- Experience administering ERP infrastructure (Epicor Prophet 21 is an asset).
- Experience with C-based programming languages is an asset.
