About the Position:

Location: 191 Niagara Street, Toronto – Onsite

Role: Assistant Project Manager – Construction

Employment Type: Full-time (12 Month Contract)

Reports to: VP Development

Woodcliffe Landmark Properties is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to support costing, contracting, permitting, and supervision of construction under the direction of the VP of Development. This role spans a wide variety of building typologies, including Luxury Condominium, Purpose-Built Rental, and Commercial Fit-Out. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience supporting comparable projects through the development life cycle, from concept design through to occupancy. The role requires experience assisting with construction contracts, coordinating mechanical, civil, structural engineers, building design coordination, interior design, supporting trade relations, and site management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support pre-construction engineering, costing, permitting, and utility applications.
  • Act as a daily representative for Woodcliffe, helping coordinate construction projects.
  • Assist in managing project timelines, budgets, and quality to ensure successful delivery.
  • Coordinate with architects, designers, consultants, contractors, and stakeholders throughout all phases of construction.
  • Review construction documents to identify potential design or execution challenges.
  • Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress, ensure safety compliance, and address any issues proactively.
  • Contribute to ongoing risk assessment and mitigation strategies.
  • Lead project meetings, preparing status updates and ensuring alignment with project expectations.
  • Coordination of residential luxury finishes, detailing, materials, lighting, sequencing, quality control, and site control.
  • Administering contracts and manage COs, RFIs, and SIs with vendors and subcontractors.

Qualifications:

  • 4–6 years of experience with a developer or construction manager, ideally with exposure to high-end residential high-rise and wood frame multi-plex.
  • Post-secondary education in engineering, construction, project management, or related fields.
  • Experience overseeing high quality interior build-outs either retail or residential (A portfolio of past work in PDF form is considered an asset)
  • Strong working knowledge of construction methods, contracts, and building codes.
  • Expert proficiency utilizing Microsoft Project, Procore, Bluebeam, and BAS systems.
  • Experience assisting with the tracking of budgets, schedules, and complex project scopes.
  • Excellent communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
  • Adept at working with multiple stakeholders and fostering positive working relationships.
