Description
DIRECTOR OF BASKETBALL OPERATIONS
Type: Full-Time
Location: Greater Toronto Area (GTA)
Salary: $80,000 – $120,000 annually
Reports to: COO
ABOUT BRODIE LEAGUE
We’re not building a league. We’re building the future of sport.
35,000 athletes. 10+ cities. Millions of views. A movement that makes everyday athletes feel like pros again.
Now we need someone to make the machine run flawlessly.
YOUR ROLE
As our Director of Basketball Operations, you’ll be the Commissioner of Commissioners.
You won’t be inventing new systems. You’ll be cleaning up execution, enforcing standards, and making sure every location delivers the Brodie experience.
Think NBA Finals energy – every night, in every city. That’s the standard.
WHO THIS IS FOR
You might be:
- Running 10+ leagues/tournaments right now in the NBA G League, OHL, MLS Next, AAU, or community sports.
- A Regional Manager at GoodLife, F45, YMCA, LA Fitness, or Life Time, juggling 5–15 gyms.
- A District Manager at Starbucks, Lululemon, or Tim Hortons, used to training managers and enforcing brand standards across dozens of stores.
- Managing multi-site venues or sports complexes, coordinating refs, staff, logistics, and guest experience.
If this sounds like you, you’ve already proven you can run multi-unit ops. Now it’s time to do it on a stage that actually changes culture.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Lead all Location General Managers (LGMs).
- Enforce the Brodie Standard: games on time, refs trained, gyms set, uniforms sharp, players smiling.
- Implement systems already built by the COO – no improvising, no freelancing. Just flawless execution.
- Build consistency across every city – so a Brodie game in Toronto feels identical to one in Chicago or New York.
- Report weekly on ops health, margins, and player experience.
YOUR DNA
- Obsessed with details – you see when a scoreboard isn’t on, when a ref isn’t in uniform, when a commissioner goes off script.
- System-enforcer – you actually like making playbooks work, not reinventing them.
- Operator’s operator – you thrive on checklists, discipline, and holding managers accountable.
- Culture-first leader – respected by managers, but not afraid to demand standards.
BENEFITS & PERKS
- Top-tier Health and Wellness benefits plan.
- Access to NBA events.
- Significant growth opportunities.
WHY BRODIE?
Because this isn’t just another district manager role. This is your chance to:
- Take everything you’ve learned in ops and apply it to the next Nike of basketball.
- Run multi-city ops that blend sports, culture, and community.
- Change the way 100,000+ athletes experience sport in North America.
This role isn’t about ideas. It’s about execution at the highest level.
If that excites you, if you’re ready to take your ops career from gyms and stores to changing the future of sport then this is your next step.
