Job Title: PHP and Brilliant Directories Web Developer

Hours: 30-35 hours/week
Salary: $37.00 per hour

Location: Onsite at Connecture Canada, Mississauga

Is this role right for you?

In this role, you will:

  • Develop responsive and functional websites using the Brilliant Directories platform.

  • Must have 3+ years of experience in web development using Brilliant directories 

  • Manage and update existing websites using BD as well as other CMS platforms like WordPress and Squarespace and Shopify.

  • Customize plugins and integrate third-party APIs, including tools like Zapier.

  • Design, develop, and implement new features and enhancements for existing and new applications.

  • Develop high-quality code by collaborating with designers, addressing feedback, and resolving issues identified by quality assurance testers.

  • Configure SSL certificates, CDNs, and domain settings to ensure website performance and security.

  • Integrate tools and systems such as analytics, CRM solutions, and marketing automation into websites.

  • Ensure designs are optimized for web, tablet, and mobile formats for a seamless user experience across all devices.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to website functionalities to ensure smooth operation and user satisfaction.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Proven expertise in building fully functional backend and frontend of websites using the Brilliant Directories platform.

  • 3+ years of experience in web development and supporting complex, large-scale customer-facing platforms.

  • Canadian work experience is mandatory.

  • Strong proficiency in core PHP development and other PHP-based CMS platforms.

  • Solid understanding of responsive design principles for web, tablet, and mobile platforms.

  • Familiarity with SEO practices and website optimization techniques.

  • Knowledge of SSL, CDN, and domain configuration.

  • Experience with Google Analytics to monitor and improve website performance.

  • Proficiency in web technologies, including:

    • HTML5,CSS, JavaScript, jQuery, Bootstrap, Ajax, MySQL

  • Strong experience in SQL and relational database development.

  • Expertise in server-side technologies and tools, including:

    • Node.js, S3, CloudWatch, DynamoDB

  • Experience in plugin customizations and third-party API integration (e.g., Zapier, Paypal, Stripe).
