Location: Please note – Accepting candidates based in: Western Canada (Edmonton, Calgary, Vancouver preferred) or Ontario

Rotation: Site-based rotation may apply when needed – rotation to project sites either in northern Canada or northern Ontario (e.g., 14 days on / 12 off, or similar)

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Reporting Specialist to support major mining and construction projects. The Reporting Specialist will play a critical role in consolidating data across departments and delivering clear, accurate, and actionable insights through weekly and monthly reports.

This position is ideal for a detail-oriented professional who can transform complex project information into meaningful dashboards, supporting leadership and project teams in decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collect, consolidate, and validate data from multiple project departments (engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning).

  • Develop and maintain weekly and monthly reports for leadership and project control teams.

  • Build and manage dashboards using Power BI (or equivalent tools) to visualize project performance and trends.

  • Ensure consistency, accuracy, and timeliness of reporting deliverables.

  • Collaborate with estimators, planners, cost controllers, and contract administrators to align reporting with project needs.

  • Identify and resolve data discrepancies across systems and stakeholders.

  • Support continuous improvement in reporting processes and tools.

Preferred Experience:

  • Prior exposure to mining, energy, or large infrastructure projects.

  • Familiarity with project controls functions (estimating, cost control, planning, contracts).

  • Experience working with geographically distributed teams.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, engineering, computer science, or related field (or equivalent experience).

  • Proven experience in project reporting, data analysis, or related roles within mining, construction, or large-scale industrial projects.

  • Strong expertise in Power BI (required) and MS Excel; knowledge of other reporting or project control tools is an asset.

  • Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail and data accuracy.

  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to present data clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, multi-project environment.

  • Willingness to travel to remote project sites and work on rotation, if required.
