Description
General requirements include all duties related to the job description of a fully qualified Aero CN Digital Turning Milling, such as: Perform simple to complex fixtures on a variety of components, on all types of materials, with tolerances ranging from 0.0001 to 0.030. This includes choosing the right cutting tools and methods to get a good product.Read and interpret engineering drawings and sketches. Read and interpret industrial processes (M.P.S.) for proper instructions. Follow supervisor/foreman’s instructionsKnowledge of assembly methods and required tool sequences.Knowledge of numerical control programming and ability to make precise changes to the programKnowledge of cycle times and attention to efficiency.Ability to modify, replace, and take geometry on tools as neededKnowledge of cutting tool parameters such as speeds, feeds, and the use of best practices for the success of a wide range of components using all different types of materialsAssist other operators as needed. (correct use of the machine, measurements, inspection equipment, etc.)Follow up with inspectors (and/or machine programmer) when corrections or adjustments are required to maintain product quality.Determine the correct measurement method to be used to evaluate component quality requirements. Select and install the necessary inspection equipment. Report quality problems (minor or major) to the foreman or supervisor immediately after detection.Complete the required quality documentation.Analyze and present solutions to manufacturing problems or process improvements and follow up with the supervisor or foreman to initiate these changes as needed.Repair (including but not limited to, standardize parts, polish, machine, deburr, etc.) parts as needed.Respect health and safety rules.Perform other related duties as required. Schedule: Day and evening shift (7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.) (3:30 p.m. to 11:30 a.m.) and overtime as needed.
