Data Analytics Engineer

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Sr. Data Analytics Engineer with a Mechanical Engineering background , strong data analytics capabilities , and a track record of working in the oil and gas industry . The ideal candidate will be skilled in reliability engineering , experienced with industrial automation systems ( PLC, DCS, SCADA ), and confident in communicating technical insights to a wide range of stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

• Analyze operational, maintenance, and historical data to detect patterns and predict equipment failures.
• Evaluate alarms and sensor data (e.g., pressure transmitters) to identify actual vs. false issues.
• Perform trend analysis using P&IDs, calibration data, CMMS, PI Historian, and SCADA systems.
• Conduct reliability and criticality assessments to guide maintenance strategy.
• Collaborate with maintenance and engineering teams to recommend proactive interventions.
• Leverage AI tools and advanced analytics platforms to enhance predictive insights.
• Present technical findings clearly and effectively to cross-functional teams.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Significant time in the oil and gas sector .
• Strong experience in data analytics , reliability engineering , and trend analysis .
• Working knowledge of PLC , DCS , and SCADA systems.
• Proficiency with CMMS systems (e.g., SAP, Maximo), PI Historian , and AI/data tools .
