<p>We are hiring on behalf of our non-profit client for the role of Travel Services Agent. This position supports the Travel Services Lead in managing travel operations, particularly during large-scale responses. The role requires strong organizational skills, adaptability, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.</p><p> </p><p>In order to proceed with this opportunity, there will be 2 tests needed for completion, if shortlisted:</p><p> </p><p><b>Excel (approx 30 min)</b></p><p><b>Outlook (approx 30 min)</b></p><p> </p><p> </p><p><b>Details:</b></p><ul><li><b>Contract Term: </b>2 weeks to start with potential extension.</li><li><b>Location:</b> Remote work; candidates can be based anywhere in Canada.</li><li><b>Hours:</b> 35-hour work week spread over 5 days across 7 days. Open availability required.</li><li>Shift options (Must be able to work both) : 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM AND 4:00 PM to 12:00 AM.</li></ul><p> </p><p><b>Responsibilities:</b></p><ul><li>Assist in managing day-to-day travel operations and logistics.</li><li>Lead travel operations in the absence of the Travel Services Lead.</li><li>Maintain and update travel records and documentation.</li><li>Coordinate with internal teams and external partners to ensure effective communication.</li><li>Support compliance with travel policies and contribute to policy development.</li><li>Utilize and manage travel-related technologies and systems.</li><li>Provide logistical support during emergency responses.</li><li>Handle email and phone reservations, including gathering data, booking accommodations, and following up on availability.</li><li>Collaborate with hotels to ensure adequate booking arrangements, including extensions or securing new availability as needed.</li><li>Offer ideas for improving departmental procedures.</li></ul><p> </p><p><b>Qualifications:</b></p><ul><li>Proficiency in English. French is a strong asset.</li><li>High school diploma or equivalent; a certification in travel or administration is an asset.</li><li>Experience in travel coordination, preferably in a service-oriented or humanitarian/non-profit organization.</li><li>Strong organizational, time-management, and communication skills.</li><li>Ability to work collaboratively and adapt to changing needs.</li><li>Knowledge in Sharepoint and Adobe is an asset.</li><li>Intermediate to Advanced skills in Outlook, Excel and Word.</li><li>Must have an additional monitor & PC/Laptop with Windows 7, 8, or 10 setup</li><li>Browsers installed: Chrome, Edge, or Firefox.</li><li>Comfortable with technology and eager to learn new systems.</li></ul><p> </p><p><b>Working Conditions:</b></p><ul><li>Full-time remote position with flexibility for non-standard hours during emergencies.</li><li>Requires a professional remote work setup with high-speed Internet access.</li></ul><p></p>
