The Institutional Markets team seeks a leader for Eastern Canada (Ontario, Quebec, and the Maritimes) responsible for business development, managing strategic relationships (with clients, centers of influence, and partners), and achieving industry objectives.
- Develop and implement strategies to maximize current client potential.
- Create an annual sales plan focused on acquiring new clients and retaining high-value clients with growth potential.
- Build and maintain relationships with key industry influencers and consultants.
- Oversee service delivery, ensuring alignment with the National Bank Trust (NBT) business model.
- Ensure service quality, ongoing team training, and strategies to enhance customer satisfaction and loyalty.
- Participate in the NBT Executive Committee, contributing to strategic planning and budgeting with sector, client, and market insights.
- Represent the organization at industry events to promote services and increase visibility.
Your team
You will report directly to the President of National Bank Trust. The team comprises 20 experts focused on business development and high-quality customer service.
Prerequisites
- Bachelor’s degree and at least 10 years of experience in B2B wealth management.
- Deep knowledge of custody, portfolio management, investment funds, pension plans, and wealth management products.
- Proven experience in managing and motivating a sales team.
- Comfort with technology, especially Salesforce, as part of the sales process.
- Organized, detail-oriented, capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strategic thinker and proactive in decision-making.
- Excellent communication, writing, editing, proofreading, and presentation skills.
- Willingness and ability to travel within the region.
Languages
Proficiency in additional languages is required to serve clients speaking languages other than French.
