<p>Hays has partnered with a large Company in the mining industry seeking to hire a contract specialist for a 4-month contract with potential to extend.</p><p><br></p><ul><li><b>Job Title: </b>Contract Specialist</li><li><b>Location:</b> Calgary, AB</li><li><b>Job Type:</b> Full-Time, 6 Month Contract</li></ul><p><br></p><p><b>Your New Role:</b> We are seeking a highly skilled Contract Specialist with a minimum of 3 years of experience in contract analysis within the mining, oil, or gas industry. This is a full-time, 6-month contract position with the potential for renewal based on performance and business needs. As a Contract Specialist, you will play a critical role in reviewing, analyzing, and managing contracts to ensure compliance and optimize contract performance.</p><p><br></p><p><br></p><p><b>Key Responsibilities:</b></p><ul><li>Develop and execute the end-to-end competitive bid process</li><li>Execute strategy development, evaluation of proposals, recommendation for awards</li><li>Formation and administration of contracts</li><li>Evaluate and monitor contract performance</li><li>Negotiate contract terms and conditions</li><li>Report on opportunities to improve the cost and performance of suppliers</li><li>Coordinate with cross functional teams</li><li>Resolve issues that arise between contractors and project teams</li></ul><p><br></p><p><br></p><p><b>What you will need to succeed:</b></p><ul><li>Minimum of 3 years of experience in contract experience within the mining, oil, or gas industry.</li><li>Expereince with end-to-end competitive bid process including evaluation of proposals</li><li>Contract analysis experience with focus on services procurement</li><li>Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.</li><li>Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.</li><li>Proficient in contract management software and Microsoft Office Suite.</li><li>Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.</li><li>Effective communication and interpersonal skills.</li></ul><p><br></p><p><br></p><p><b>What you will get in return:</b></p><ul><li>Work with a large and reputable Canadian company.</li><li>Gain valuable experience and contribute to high-impact projects.</li><li>Opportunity for contract renewal based on performance.</li></ul><p></p>
