<p>Professional Staffing has partnered with a well-established professional services organization to identify a Learning & Development Specialist for their team in Edmonton. Reporting to the VP of HR, the Learning and Development Specialist will be creating a standardized training program, building SOPs, and designing programs for employee development.</p><p><br></p><p>Responsibilities:</p><p><br></p><ul><li>Lead the end-to-end development and execution of a comprehensive learning strategy that aligns with organizational goals — in a <b>standalone capacity</b> </li><li>Collaborate directly with internal subject matter experts and stakeholders to <b>independently design, revise, and deliver</b> effective training programs across multiple platforms and delivery methods.</li><li>Conduct formal needs assessments, define learning objectives, and create training plans; develop feedback loops, track training completion, and report on effectiveness.</li><li>Facilitate both in-person and virtual training sessions; ensure all learning resources are accurate, current, and aligned with business needs.</li><li>Participate in talent development planning and recommend third-party vendors for leadership, and technical skill enhancement.</li></ul><p><br></p><p><br></p><p>Qualifications:</p><ul><li>Postsecondary education in a related field and a minimum of 5 years’ experience in corporate learning and development, ideally in <b>independent or mid- sized companies </b></li><li>Proven ability to manage <b>all stages of instructional design and implementation</b> autonomously, with expertise in adult learning principles and digital tools (e.g., UPerform, Snagit, Camtasia).</li><li>Strong communication, collaboration, and consulting skills with a <b>hands-on, proactive</b> approach to problem-solving and delivery.</li><li>Self-motivated, forward-thinking, and able to build strong internal relationships; experience with Guidewire is considered an asset.</li></ul>
