Project Engineer
Descon Conveyor Systems (Newmarket, ON) provides cutting-edge conveyor system solutions to the food and beverage industries throughout North America for over 30 years. We feel privileged to play in a very high-end market and compete head-to-head against massive global corporations.
Due to sustained growth, we are currently looking for a Project Engineer (AutoCAD) to join our growing team. This position is a key role in our growing company that enjoys job autonomy and remote work capabilities.
Responsible for creating detailed layout design drawings for automated packaging lines.
Develop client relationships and clearly articulate our technical capabilities.
Collaborate with all engineering departments to find solutions to complex issues as they arise.
Be able to organize and clearly document project critical information and support documentation (i.e. cross-sections; When applicable, on-site verification of dimensions and detail may be required.
Travel to customer facilities, take detailed measurements, generate layouts in AutoCAD.
Expertise in the beverage or food packaging industry in one or more of the following areas: Project Management; Related industry or plant layout design experience using AutoCAD (or equivalent cad software).
Experience designing or sourcing industrial mezzanines or equipment would be beneficial.
