<p><b>Position Summary</b></p><p>The Die-Cutting Operator is responsible for operating a GM or ABG flexo converting presses.</p><p><br></p><p><b>Work Schedule: Afternoon Shift</b></p><p>Monday-Thursday, 4pm-2:30am</p><p>Weekend Shift: Friday-Sunday, 6:30am-7:00pm</p><p><br></p><p><b>Reports To: </b>Shift Supervisor</p><p><br></p><p><b>Essential Functions</b></p><ul><li>Run GM or ABG flexo converting press as per companys standards. </li><li>Examine job orders to determine details such as rolls to be die-cut, production times, stock specifications, laminate, varnish specifications, and anilox BCM.</li><li>Select and install dies, spot plate, metering roller, anilox roller, doctor blade, varnish/laminate stations, knife blades in machine according to specifications, using hand tools.</li><li>Monitor feeding, die-cutting, and finishing processes of presses to maintain specified operating levels and to detect malfunctions, making adjustments as necessary.</li><li>Collect retains, perform quality tests and visual inspections of rolls.</li><li>Be the first response to safety, quality, and productivity troubleshooting.</li><li>Understand shop floor metrics and being responsible for the team’s results vs. targets.</li><li>Other duties as assigned.</li></ul><p><br></p><p><b>POSITION QUALIFICATIONS</b></p><p><br></p><p><b>Competency Statements</b></p><ul><li>Accountability: The extent to which an individual is willing to accept responsibility.</li><li>Adaptability: The extent to which an individual can fit into a changing work environment.</li><li>Communication, Oral & Written: The extent to which an individual communicates with clarity, actively engaging in conversations in order to clearly understand others’ message and intent, and receives and processes feedback.</li><li>Problem Solving: The ability to recognize courses of action which can be taken to handle problems or potential problems.</li><li>Safety Awareness: The ability to identify and correct conditions that affect employee safety.</li></ul><p><br></p><p><b>SKILLS & ABILITIES</b></p><p>Required Education</p><ul><li>High School Diploma or GED</li></ul><p>Preferred Education</p><ul><li>Technical Certification or Associate’s degree in printing processes.</li></ul><p>Preferred Experience</p><ul><li>Five years previous flexographic printing experience.</li></ul><p>Computer Skills</p><ul><li>Must have working knowledge of the use of a PC and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)</li></ul><p><br></p><p>Physical Demands</p><ul><li><b>Stand:</b> Constantly</li><li><b>Walk, Reach (Outward/Above Shoulder), Handle/Finger, Bend:</b> Frequently</li><li><b>Sit, Climb, Crawl, Squat/Kneel:</b> Occasionally</li></ul><p><br></p><p>Lifting/Carrying</p><ul><li><b>0-10 lbs:</b> Constantly</li><li><b>11-50 lbs:</b> Frequently</li><li><b>51-100+ lbs:</b> Occasionally</li></ul><p><br></p><p>Push/Pull</p><ul><li><b>0-25 lbs:</b> Constantly</li><li><b>26-100 lbs:</b> Occasionally</li></ul><p><br></p><p>Other Physical Requirements</p><ul><li>Vision (near, distance, peripheral, depth perception)</li><li>Ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), including hearing protection, safety glasses, goggles, or shields, and cut-resistant gloves.</li></ul><p><br></p><p><b>WORK ENVIRONMENT</b></p><p>Work is performed indoors in a manufacturing setting with regular exposure to cold, heat, noise, and moving machines/equipment.</p><p><br></p><p>Lorpon Labels is an Affirmative Action/Equal Opportunity Employer of Minorities, Women, Protected Veterans and Persons with Disabilities.</p>
