About the Role:
North Cariboo is an experienced charter operator committed to safety, reliability, and the
growth of our in-house maintenance capabilities.
We are currently seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Maintenance Programs &
Planning Specialist for a one-year contract. In this role, you will be responsible for
managing the development and integration of our aircraft maintenance programs and
planning functions.
This position plays a key role in ensuring regulatory compliance, maximizing aircraft
availability, and supporting the continued growth of our internal MRO operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee line, base, and heavy maintenance planning activities to maximize
aircraft availability and optimize aircraft downtime.
Collaborate closely with the production team to develop efficient maintenance
work packages and task cards.
Coordinate with operations, production, supply chain and fleet management
teams to ensure alignment of scheduled work.
Develop, implement, and maintain the Aircraft Maintenance Program in
accordance with company MSA, manufacturers MRM/MPD and Transport
Canada requirements.
Develop standards for labour hours, task cards, work packages, and material
forecasts to ensure predictable planned maintenance events.
Enhance methods for tracking deferrals and out-of-phase tasks and mentor
maintenance ops control personnel on procedures to ensure timely rectification.
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives by adjusting the maintenance
program to align tasks and optimize intervals.
Support the expansion of in-house maintenance capabilities by aligning planning
processes with tooling, training, and facility growth.
Qualifications:
AME License (M1/M2), Aeronautical Engineering or equivalent technical
background
Minimum 5 years of experience in maintenance planning, programs, or technical
services role.
Proficient with the set-up of aircraft maintenance tracking software (TRAX,
RAAS, or equivalent)
Strong understanding of Transport Canada regulations, aircraft maintenance
programs, MSG-3 methodology and reliability control processes.
Exceptional organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Ability to adapt to a growing environment with evolving structure, responsibilities,
and fleet mix.
Preferred Assets:
Experience in a supervisory or project management role.
Experience developing or working within an internal MRO or AMO
Experience in critical charter or airline operations environment
