Position Title: Lead Counsellor, Camp Ridley

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Implement an educational and recreational weekly curriculum for various summer programmes;
- Guide and preside over junior counsellor(s) ensuring an effective team environment is established and maintained;
- Create a positive environment for all participants, students and other staff members;
- Model good sportsmanship and maintain an enthusiastic attitude;
- Follow all program policies and procedures, enforce all safety guidelines;
- Maintain accurate records including incident reports and attendance;
- Maintain discipline throughout activities;
- Complete incident reports and report all accidents/incidents, behavioural issues and program concerns to program leadership;
- Ensure camp supplies are maintained weekly;
- Communicate with parents about the campers’ experiences;
- Other duties as required;
- Mandatory participation in Ridley Standard First Aid and CPR/AED training if not already certified;
- Mandatory attendance in training sessions from June 20 to 22, 2025.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience working with children in an educational setting;
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work well in a team;
- Ability to problem solve effectively;
- Physical ability to lead and participate in program activities;
- Vigilant and punctual.
