Job Title: Project Manager – Transformation Office Contract – 2 years

The Project Manager (PM) will provide support, coordination, planning, and implementation of strategically important projects across HPEI and facilitate successful completion of assigned projects. This position reports to the Director, Transformation Office.

Provide project management and leadership by overseeing project management processes: project initiation, planning, execution, monitoring and controlling and closing.
Lead various priority projects and initiatives associated with the Transformation office. Help establish overall project vision, charter, scope, goals, and strategic priorities.
Develop project management plans to achieve goals/objectives of the project and timelines that coincide with the project financial budget(s) and other targets
Develop and help execute a communication plan for the project(s) in collaboration with various stakeholders
Presenting the project goals and facilitating problem solving sessions with stakeholders
Ensure that appropriate project reporting, monitoring and evaluation processes are in place.
Ensure project evaluation framework is developed and evaluation implemented
Provide administrative and coordination support to ensure successful completion of projects and initiatives
Manage project budgets as assigned to work plan activities
Support successful team functioning and project implementation through open communication, and effective working relationships.
Maintain effective liaisons with other health, government and/or community agencies and seek opportunities for enhanced partnership
Applicants must have a university degree in a related discipline, preference for a master’s degree in a relevant discipline, with professional development coursework in project management
Must have considerable (3-5 years) experience, including experience working with management and executives, preferably in a health-related setting
Must have experience managing projects and strong knowledge of the healthcare system
Experience, high knowledge and proficiency in budget planning and management / supervision; project/program planning, performance monitoring and reporting; research, analysis, development and program evaluation; team building and group facilitation; Must have demonstrated management and leadership skills
Demonstrated proficiency with typical business and analytical software, such as word processing, spreadsheets, presentations, email and statistical analysis software is required
Project Management Professional (PMP) designation preferred
