Description

The Director – Sales and Development (Ontario) is responsible for sales development and business growth in the Ontario region. In this role, they implement effective growth strategies and develop strategic partnerships, particularly with stakeholders in the property and casualty insurance sector. With entrepreneurial spirit, strong leadership skills, and strategic vision, the incumbent thrives on challenges and strives for excellence in achieving objectives.

Main Responsibilities

  • Identify and recruit new franchisees in the province of Ontario.
  • Present the business model and assist prospects in the decision-making process.
  • Participate in events, trade shows, and business meetings that promote network development.
  • Identify potential clients for each new and existing franchisee.

Relationships with Clients

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with insurance representatives, adjusting firms, co-ownership managers, and claims adjusters, as well as all potential clients in the region.
  • Position the company as a trusted partner and encourage an increase in the volume of files assigned to our franchisees.
  • Represent the company at regional meetings with key partners.

Onboarding and Support

  • Manage the integration of new franchisees, in collaboration with the various head office teams.
  • Ensure that implementation milestones (HR, operations, compliance, marketing, etc.) are met.
  • Provide on-the-ground and strategic support to support the franchisee’s initial phases of operations and growth.
  • Support existing franchisees in growing their revenue and ensuring they adhere to brand standards.
  • Act as a resource for local development initiatives (e.g., insurer relations, business development).
  • Work collaboratively with other departments (operations, finance, marketing) to ensure consistent support.

Required Qualifications

  • Experience in business development or B2B sales, ideally in the insurance or services sector.
  • Knowledge of the franchise model (an asset).
  • Demonstrated communication, negotiation, and representation skills.
  • Highly autonomous, initiative, and entrepreneurial spirit.
  • Excellent command of spoken and written English. Bilingualism is an asset.
  • Knowledge of Ontario and the ability to travel regularly throughout the province.
  • Experience in the property and casualty insurance industry. ________________________________________
