Adecco is currently hiring a full-time motivated and detail-oriented Junior Cost Controller – Finance to support our client’s Project Controls team in delivering accurate and timely cost tracking and financial reporting for ongoing projects, in Calgary, AB. In this role, you will assist senior team members with monitoring project budgets, verifying invoices, supporting earned value reporting, and maintaining cost documentation for audits and compliance.
- Pay Rate: $40 – $45/hour (based on experience)
- Location: Calgary, AB
- Shift: Monday to Friday | 8hours/day

Responsibilities:
- Assist Senior Project Controls staff in tracking project costs and comparing actual expenditures against approved budgets.
- Support the preparation of monthly cost reports and forecasts to keep stakeholders informed of project financial performance.
- Help monitor commitments, incurred costs, and actuals to ensure accurate project cost tracking.
- Coordinate with procurement and accounts payable to verify invoices and ensure correct coding and cost allocation.
- Assist with change management, including budget adjustments and tracking scope changes.
- Support the collection of data for earned value and progress reporting and assist with importing cost data into Prism or other financial tracking systems.
- Organize, file, and maintain cost documentation to ensure records are accurate and ready for audit and review.
- Provide support for resource loading and the entry of progress updates into project schedules, in collaboration with the scheduling team
Qualifications:
- Post-secondary education in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field.
- 0-2 years experience or internship in cost control, finance, or project accounting is required
- Familiarity with earned value management, budgeting, and forecasting principles.
- Strong proficiency in MS Office Suite, especially Excel.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a collaborative team.
- Experience with Prism or other project cost tracking software is an asset.
- Mu st be legally eligible to work, and reside in Canada
- Must be a resident of the Calgary area.
- Must be a recent graduate from a Canadian University.
- Must be eligible to work full-time hours in Canada
