About the role
We are looking for an experienced Magento Consultant (Magento Certified) with 5+ years of expert-level experience with Magento to join our team. You will be responsible for improving our eCommerce solutions and help mentor/train other Magento developers.
Ultimately, you should be able to develop and maintain functional and stable web applications to meet our company’s needs, as well as help other developers improve their knowledge of the Magento platform.
Responsibilities:
Build and maintain custom Magento 2 themes
Implement responsive and accessible UI designs
Optimize website performance, speed, and usability
Customize and extend Magento’s native frontend components
Integrate frontend with backend APIs (REST, GraphQL)
Collaborate closely with backend developers and designers
Follow modern frontend best practices and coding standards
Participate in regular team stand-ups and code reviews
Must Have:
~3+ years of commercial experience with Magento 2 frontend development
~ Strong skills in HTML5, CSS3 (SASS/LESS), and JavaScript
~ Hands-on experience with KnockoutJS and RequireJS
~ Experience with Magento layout XML and .phtml templates
~ Familiarity with UI/UX principles and responsive design
~ Understanding of frontend performance optimization
~ Version control with Git
~ Good written and verbal English communication skills
~ Willingness to work part-time (~20h/week) in the EST timezone
