Job Title: Mechanical Assembler I
Location: Airdrie, Canada
What You’ll Do
As a Mechanical Assembler I, you will play a key role in assembling and mounting mechanical components and sub-assemblies by following standard layouts, schematics, and customer drawing packages. Your responsibilities will include:
- Assembling and mounting mechanical and sub-assembly components to build complete structures.
- Assembling products with standard options by interpreting customer drawings and schematics.
- Assembling products with non-standard options under the guidance of a more experienced Mechanical Assembler.
- Completing required documentation and checklists accurately.
- Delivering completed sub-assemblies to the appropriate production areas.
Responsibilities
Reporting to the Production Manager, this position focuses on:
- Mounting basic mechanical components using standard layouts and options.
- Performing sub-assembly tasks as needed.
- Gaining and developing advanced mechanical skills under supervision.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma (Grade 12) or equivalent.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Preferred Skills
- Familiarity with basic wiring schematic symbols is an asset.
- Previous mechanical assembly experience is preferred but not required.
