Role Overview
As a Network Support Analyst, you will play a critical role in maintaining and optimizing SaskPower’s network infrastructure. You’ll work within the Intelligent Networks & Infrastructure team to support network hardware, troubleshoot issues, and implement solutions that ensure high availability and performance across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Configure, administer, and maintain Cisco network hardware.
- Support and troubleshoot network infrastructure including firewalls, load balancers, and other Azure-based networking components.
- Participate in after-hours support and on-call rotations as required.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure network reliability and performance.
- Document network configurations and changes in accordance with SaskPower standards.
- Ensure compliance with security protocols and perform risk assessments as needed.
Mandatory Education:
As per SaskPower’s Position Catalogue (typically includes post-secondary education in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field).
Mandatory Experience:
Cisco network hardware configuration and administration
Desired Experience:
Azure firewall and load balancer experience.
Experience with other Azure networking infrastructure.
Certifications: Cisco certifications (e.g., CCNA, CCNP) and Azure certifications are considered assets.
Security Clearance: Must pass a criminal background check and may be subject to NERC Personnel Risk Assessment.
