Senior Design Manager / Coordinator

Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Senior Design Manager / Coordinator to join our team. In this role, you will manage and coordinate the design activities for cladding projects, ensuring seamless collaboration among the design, engineering, and project management teams. Your expertise will make sure that all project requirements are met, integrating our advanced building envelope solutions into each phase of the design process. You will play a pivotal role in aligning project goals, ensuring smooth communication, and delivering exceptional results.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and review detailed design drawings for accuracy and compliance with project specifications, ensuring that all designs meet aesthetic, functional, and regulatory standards.
- Act as the primary point of contact between clients, architects, contractors, and internal teams to ensure effective communication and alignment throughout the project lifecycle.
- Coordinate design processes from concept to completion, ensuring adherence to project timelines, design standards, and client expectations. Team Support & Mentorship: Provide mentorship and guidance to the design team on technical aspects, fostering skill development and ensuring high-quality deliverables.
- Offer on-site technical support as needed, addressing challenges, implementing design changes, and ensuring smooth integration of design solutions on-site.
- Work closely with the production team to align design specifications with manufacturing capabilities and ensure a seamless transition from design to fabrication.
- Conduct regular project meetings, providing updates on progress, addressing challenges, and ensuring all stakeholders are aligned with project goals.
- Maintain meticulous records of design documentation, approvals, and revisions, ensuring accessibility and reference throughout the project lifecycle.
- Support the development of automated design workflows to enhance team efficiency and foster a culture of collaboration and innovation within the design team.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, or a related field.
- 7+ years of experience in building envelope systems, cladding, or related fields.
- 5 years of experience in design coordination or building envelope design.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and Autodesk Inventor.
- Strong knowledge of sustainable building practices, cladding systems, and prefabricated panels.
- Exceptional project management and multitasking skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration.
- Attention to detail and proactive problem-solving abilities.
