The Senior Financial Analyst, Costing plays a critical role within the Finance team, reporting to the Manager of Finance, Operations. This position provides financial and analytical support across plant operations, SKU- and item-level BoM costing, inventory management, and capital asset planning. The analyst partners closely with Operations, R&D, IT, and Supply Chain teams to deliver insight-driven analytics, ensure accurate cost structures, support new product launches, and develop reporting that drives strategic decision-making. Key Responsibilities include:
Perform detailed SKU- and item-level cost analysis across all manufacturing sites to ensure accurate and transparent product costing.
Monitor and analyze cost variances, absorption, production throughput, and overall plant performance, providing actionable insights to operations leadership.
Support BOM and routing validation, ensuring costing accuracy for both new and existing products.
Partner with cross-functional teams to support costing for new product launches, including stage-gate analysis and cost-benefit evaluations.
Contribute to month-end close by preparing journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and P&L analysis related to COGS.
Maintain accurate capital asset records, including additions, disposals, and depreciation, while supporting forecasting and reporting requirements.

Job Requirements:
Successful candidates bring the following to the role:
Bachelor’s degree or College Diploma in Business Administration, Commerce, Economics, Accounting, or Finance.
3+ years of progressive accounting experience, ideally within a manufacturing environment.
CPA designation (or working toward completion) strongly preferred.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, with solid skills in PowerPoint and Outlook.
Experience with ERP systems (Microsoft Dynamics 365 preferred); familiarity with Power BI or other business intelligence tools considered an asset.
