Payroll Analyst (Time Analyst)

Hays is partnering with an energy company in Calgary, AB to hire a time analyst.
Your new role
This role plays a part in data accuracy, policy alignment, and seamless coordination with payroll and HR systems.
Responsibilities:
While responsibilities may evolve, core areas of focus include:
- Support the review and validation of time entries, leave balances, and related data across various employee groups.
- Collaborate with Payroll and HR teams to ensure time-related transactions are processed accurately and in alignment with internal policies.
- Maintain and update scheduling and time data within SAP and Workday, resolving integration issues as needed.
- Apply employment standards and organizational practices to time tracking scenarios, including union and non-union contexts.
- Provide guidance to leaders and employees on time entry, vacation management, and system navigation.
- Generate reports and maintain documentation to support audits, compliance, and internal communications.
What you will need to succeed
- 2+ years of Canadian payroll experience
- Strong attention to detail and analytical thinking
- Experience with SAP and Workday time tracking modules (asset)
- Familiarity with employment practices and leave policies
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
