Welder

Adecco is currently hiring a full-time skilled and safety-conscious Welders to join our client’s team in Halifax, NS. In this role, you will be responsible for performing high-quality welding tasks on various metal components and structures, ensuring accuracy, durability, and compliance with project specifications. This position requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety.

Responsibilities:

• Read and interpret blueprints or welding process specifications.
• Work in a construction, maintenance/repair, and new fabrication environment.
• Perform Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW) in all positions.
• Perform Flux Core Arc Welding (FCAW) in all positions.
• Select the proper weld filler material.
• Operate manual or semi-automatic welding equipment and semi-automatic flame-cutting equipment.
• Operate air arc cutting equipment (carbon arc cutting).
• Set up Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW) and Flux Core Arc Welding (FCAW) equipment for welding.
• Lift, move, or position equipment at work sites.

Qualifications:

• Journeyperson Welder Certification (or equivalent experience/certification).
• Proven experience as a welder in an industrial, construction, or manufacturing setting.
• Proficiency in multiple welding techniques (MIG, TIG, Stick, etc.).
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
• Strong knowledge of welding safety standards and best practices.
• Physical ability to lift, bend, and work in confined spaces or at heights if required.
• Additional certifications (CWB, ASME, etc.) considered an asset.
• Mu st be legally eligible to work, and reside in Canada
