Senior Facilities Manager, Technical Services

Toronto

Full-time – 100% On-site

Key Responsibilities

· Lead, coach, and develop a team of managers and building operators.

· Oversee building operations including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, life safety, and automation systems.

· Ensure compliance with health, safety, and building codes.

· Manage operating and capital budgets, performance metrics, and KPIs.

· Direct procurement, vendor management, and service contracts.

· Support tenant improvements, capital projects, and sustainability initiatives (LEED, BOMA, WELL).

· Lead emergency management, preventive maintenance, and contingency planning.

· Partner cross-functionally with property management, leasing, construction, and development teams.

Qualifications

· 10+ years of experience in commercial real estate facilities or project management.

· 7+ years in leadership, including managing managers.

· Strong background in building systems operations (HVAC/BAS, plumbing, electrical, fire safety).

· Proven track record in capital planning, project management, and budget management.

· Engineering degree (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical) or related field.

· Certifications such as FMA, 3rd Class Stationary Engineer, PMP considered assets.

· Strong knowledge of building codes, safety regulations, and sustainability best practices.

· Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
