Now Hiring: Intermediate Mechanical Engineer – Thunder Bay, ON
Salary: $95K–$120K + full benefits
Office-based | Relocation assistance available
Skyline Recruitment is partnering with a well-established Canadian engineering consulting firm to help grow their Thunder Bay team with the addition of a full-time Intermediate Mechanical Engineer.
This firm delivers small to mid-sized engineering projects across mining, municipal utilities, and industrial infrastructure, and offers an excellent platform for technical growth, career development, and meaningful project work across Canada.
🔧 What You’ll Do:
- Lead or support mechanical design across feasibility, detailed design, and construction phases
- Prepare specifications, reports, and engineering drawings
- Design systems including HVAC, plumbing, piping, pumping, and mechanical components
- Work within 3D models and collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams
- Conduct site assessments and support procurement, installation, and commissioning
- Mentor junior team members and contribute to quality assurance
🎓 What You Bring:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
- 5+ years of experience in consulting or industrial project settings
- Registered (or eligible) as a P.Eng. in Ontario
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Plant 3D, Revit, or similar tools
- Background in mining, utilities, or process facilities is an asset
- Strong communication and project coordination skills
- Willingness to relocate to Thunder Bay (relocation support available)
