Brain Power Enrichment Programs is actively seeking a highly qualified and motivated Language Arts educator to join our team. Our mission is to nurture the development of our students not only as learners but as critical thinkers, articulate writers, and future leaders. This role demands a deep engagement with advanced Humanities, covering intricate vocabulary, compelling fiction and non-fiction, the history of ideas, and the craft of persuasive and impactful writing.

As an award-winning after-school program recognized for our commitment to academic excellence, Brain Power has been revolutionizing the educational landscape for gifted students. Our classes accommodate intellectually advanced students who are ready to push the limits of traditional education. Classes are conducted two hours per week for 34 weeks.

We invite PhD holders or current PhD candidates or language / literature experts who are published authors, masters students, or other creative talents! Join our community of distinguished educators across our campuses, with a specific need for faculty in Vaughan and Richmond Hill. Here, you will guide small groups of about 6-12 students through a sophisticated and exhilarating curriculum. This part-time, freelance opportunity also offers the chance to network and collaborate with other advanced degree holders and experts in an intellectually stimulating environment.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Educational Background: For this role, faculty must hold a PhD or be near completion of PhD. OR expert in language and literature as evidenced by publications, unique creative accomplishments, or high standing in a Masters program.
  • Experience: Previous teaching experience is valued, and while teaching certification is preferred, it is not mandatory for this role.
  • Location: Must be able to reliably commute to our campuses in Vaughan, Richmond Hill, Markham.
