We’re Hiring: IT Vendor Manager | Strategic Procurement Role
We’re looking for a Vendor Manager to support a high-impact M&A initiative. This role focuses on consolidating vendor contracts for a newly acquired company, identifying cost-saving opportunities, and driving strategic sourcing excellence.
Project Scope:
- Review and compare vendor contracts from the acquired company with existing agreements
- Identify synergies and savings opportunities
- Lead contract amendments, renewals, and closures
Must-Have Skills & Experience (minimum 3):
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
- Proven experience in vendor negotiations
- Expertise in contractual terms and pricing negotiations
Nice-to-Have Skills:
- Familiarity with Google Workspace
- Understanding of AI tools and automation
- Strong analytical skills for data comparison
- Logistical thinking and process optimization
- Bilingual capabilities (an asset, not a requirement)
Role Overview: As a Vendor Manager, you’ll lead strategic procurement efforts across shared services categories including facilities, field services, mobile technologies, and more.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute sourcing strategies to drive cost reduction
- Manage vendor relationships and performance
- Negotiate and administer commercial contracts
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders
- Apply market intelligence to procurement decisions
Qualifications:
- 5+ years in vendor/supplier relationship management
- Strategic sourcing and supply chain experience
- Strong contract negotiation skills with large organizations
- Experience leading competitive bidding (RFX)
- Industry experience in complex service environments (preferred)
Skills & Tools:
- Negotiation, strategic sourcing, financial acumen
- Familiarity with automation, AI, and e-procurement tools
- Google Suite proficiency
Education:
- Bachelor’s in Business, Engineering, or Supply Chain (MBA preferred)
- Supply chain certifications (SCMP, CPP, ISM) are a plus
