Description

The Talent Acquisition Coordinator is responsible for managing the full-cycle recruitment process to attract, evaluate, and hire top talent across various departments. Acting as a brand ambassador and strategic partner, the Talent Acquisition Coordinator collaborates with hiring managers to define role requirements, source candidates through multiple channels, and ensure a seamless candidate experience. This role is essential to building a strong talent pipeline that supports JEN COL’s growth and operational goals.

Qualifications

  • Proficiency in applicant tracking systems (ATS) and sourcing tools (e.g., LinkedIn Recruiter, Indeed)
  • Knowledge of employment legislation and hiring best practices
  • High level of confidentiality, professionalism, and emotional intelligence
  • Ability to assess candidates for both technical skills and cultural fit
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
  • Exceptional business writing and editing skills
  • Active listener with the ability to communicate diplomatically and professionally
  • Critical thinking, analytical decision-making, and sound judgement
  • Computer literacy, including intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Proactive in ensuring job knowledge is current

Education & Licenses

  • Post-secondary degree or diploma in Human Resources, Business Administration, or equivalent industry experience
  • RPR or LinkedIn Certified Professional Recruiter designation is an asset
  • Currently working toward or interested in pursuing a CPHR designation is an asset
  • Valid driver’s license

Experience

  • Two to five (2 – 5) years of recruiting experience, either in-house or agency
  • Experience hiring for a variety of roles across departments and seniority levels
  • Familiarity with construction industry recruitment is an asset
  • Proven track record of managing multiple requisitions and meeting hiring targets

Functional Responsibilities

  • Manage end-to-end recruitment processes including sourcing, screening, interviewing, reference checks, and coordination of offers
  • Partner with hiring managers to define job requirements and candidate profiles
  • Write and post job advertisements on internal and external platforms
  • Source passive candidates through networking, referrals, and online databases
  • Conduct initial candidate screenings and coordinate interviews
  • Maintain timely communication with candidates and hiring teams
  • Represent the company at career fairs, networking events, and recruitment campaigns
  • Collaborate with Marketing and HR to enhance employer branding through social media, job ads, and candidate engagement strategies
  • Build and maintain talent pipelines for high-demand roles to support future workforce needs
  • Champion a positive candidate experience and support retention by ensuring smooth handoffs from recruitment to onboarding
  • Support onboarding efforts to ensure effective transitions for new hires
  • Maintain accurate records and compile statistical reports relating to recruitment data (e.g., time-to-fill, source effectiveness, turnover), optimize hiring strategies for efficiency
  • Monitor and keep abreast of legislative changes (e.g., Employment Standards, Human Rights, Privacy legislation) to ensure compliance throughout all recruitment functions
  • Complete other duties and projects within the HR department as required
