Description

We’re seeking a highly skilled SAP ABAP Developer – RAP with deep expertise in RAP, CDS Views, OData services, and HANA performance optimization. The ideal candidate will design and deliver scalable, high-performing solutions within the S/4HANA ecosystem, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams and integrating modern SAP technologies such as BTP Business Process Automation (BPA) and Fiori/UI5.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, enhance, and optimize custom applications using ABAP on S/4HANA and RAP (Restful ABAP Programming Model).
  • Design and build CDS Views for both analytical and transactional scenarios.
  • Create and expose OData services for Fiori/UI5 applications using annotations and metadata extensions.
  • Implement and optimize RICEF objects (Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Enhancements, Forms) with focus on performance and maintainability.
  • Leverage HANA pushdown techniques, AMDPs, and SQL Script for high-performance solutions.
  • Collaborate with Fiori developers to build modern, responsive Fiori Elements/UI5 apps.
  • Implement enhancements via BAdIs, User Exits, and Enhancement Spots.
  • Troubleshoot and debug complex issues in S/4HANA environments.
  • Integrate and automate business processes using SAP BTP Business Process Automation (BPA).
  • Work closely with functional consultants and integration teams to deliver end-to-end SAP solutions.

Required Skills & Experience

  • 6–8+ years of SAP ABAP development experience, including 3+ years on S/4HANA.
  • Strong hands-on expertise in:
  • ABAP CDS Views (Core Data Services)
  • ABAP RAP (Restful Application Programming Model)
  • OData Services (Gateway, annotations, Fiori/UI5 integration)
  • HANA concepts – code pushdown, AMDPs, SQL Script, performance tuning
  • RICEF objects and enhancement frameworks (BAdIs, User Exits, Enhancement Spots)
  • Proficient in debugging, troubleshooting, and performance optimization in S/4HANA.
  • Experience with Fiori Elements and UI5-based applications.
  • Familiarity with SAP BTP Business Process Automation (BPA) is a plus.
