Infrastructure security specialist

Full-time

Remote Canada wide, work timings EST time Zone

Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, and maintain our organization’s infrastructure and security systems, including Rancher (RKE2), Kubernetes, Ingress, Egress, Kong, Keycloak, Ceph, and Artifactory.
  • Ensure the security and integrity of our applications and services, including identity and access management, authentication, and authorization.
  • Implement and maintain single sign-on (SSO) and identity provider (IDP) solutions using Keycloak and LDAP.
  • Configure and manage network security, including firewalls, VPNs, and access controls.
  • Develop and implement security policies, procedures, and standards to ensure compliance with industry regulations and best practices.
  • Monitor and analyze system logs to identify potential security threats and vulnerabilities.
  • Collaborate with development teams to ensure secure coding practices and implement security testing and validation.
  • Provide technical leadership and guidance to junior team members.
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies in infrastructure and security, and make recommendations for improvements and innovations.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • At least 8 years of experience in infrastructure and security, with a focus on cloud-native technologies such as Kubernetes, Rancher (RKE2), and Kong.
  • Strong knowledge of security principles, including identity and access management, authentication, authorization, and encryption.
  • Experience with SSO and IDP solutions, including Keycloak and LDAP.
  • Proficiency in networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP, DNS, and HTTP.
  • Experience with Ceph and Artifactory is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of security regulations and compliance, including HIPAA, PCI-DSS, and GDPR.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex issues
