Job Title: SAP WM Lead

Location: Remote – Canada

Duration: 6-12 months

Rate: 70/hr. CAD

Job Description:

Experience:

  • A minimum of 8+ years in a senior SAP WM/EWM consultant role
  • End to End SAP S/4HANA implementation is a must
  • Collaborate with other SAP team members to ensure seamless integration across modules.
  • Monitor and optimize inventory management processes using SAP MM and WM functionalities.
  • At all times adhere to GxP and IT QMS standards and deliver highest quality process design, functional requirements, configuration, testing and documentation.
  • Work closely with relevant business functions across all PDx global sites to maintain a detailed and current knowledge of their organization, processes, priorities and system needs.
  • Document configuration changes and provide training to end-users.
  • Analyze complex warehouse processes, identify areas for improvement, and translate business requirements into functional specifications.
  • Configure and customize SAP EWM functionalities, including warehouse movements, putaway and picking strategies, storage unit management, and handling unit management.
  • Ensure seamless integration of SAP WM with other relevant modules (MM, SD, PP, QM, IM).
  • Develop and execute test plans (unit, integration, regression, UAT) to validate SAP WM configurations and ensure data accuracy and system reliability.
  • Provide ongoing support by troubleshooting and resolving functional issues related to SAP WM, adhering to IT Service Management (ITSM) best practices.
  • Act as a subject matter expert and trusted advisor to business users, providing training and guidance on SAP WM functionalities and best practices.
  • Collaborate with technical teams (e.g., ABAP developers) to address development needs, implement enhancements, and ensure successful integration with external systems (e.g., TMS, RF scanning solutions, barcode systems, label printing solutions).
  • Stay updated with the latest SAP WM advancements, including SAP EWM (Extended Warehouse Management), and recommend relevant solutions.
  • Proficiency in using and customizing SAP WM/EWM/MM features and functionalities

Education:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or Business Administration is usually expected.
  • S/4 HANA certification is preferred

Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency in using and customizing SAP WM/EWM/MM features and functionalities
  • Hands-on experience with advanced and basic EWM capabilities including:
  • Inbound processing and putaway with Quality integration.
  • Internal warehouse processing, physical inventory, and internal stock movements.
  • Production integration and outbound processing including wave picking and staging.
  • Integration with external systems such as 3PLs or warehouse control systems.
  • SAP Module Integration Knowledge: Strong understanding of how EWM and WM integrate with other SAP modules and applications such as Quality Management, Manufacturing, Transportation Management, and Material Flow Systems.
  • Fiori and Mobile Solutions Expertise: Proficient in the use and configuration of Fiori applications within the LE/WM and EWM areas, with knowledge of mobile functionalities that support warehouse processes.
  • Soft Skills:
  • Key soft skills include strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal abilities.
  • Strong client communications under the guidance of project leadership
  • The ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions, presentation skills, the capacity to work independently, and strong organizational skills are also valuable
  • Working as module lead, team lead and team member
  • Build positive working relationships with clients by contributing to the development of business requirements and functional designs.
  • Contribute to knowledge sharing and innovation by participating in team forums and helping develop tools or templates to enhance project delivery and operational efficiency.

  • Preferred qualifications
  • Preferred qualifications include SAP certification in PP/QM or related modules like MM/WM
  • Knowledge of project management methodologies, and experience in a consulting environment
