The HRIS Analyst job family is responsible for providing overall Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS) support to the HR department, managers, employees, contingent workers, and job applicants. Provides maintenance and support for the Workday HCM system and other HR applications. Consults with stakeholders to provide technical expertise and guidance on new and proposed HRIS solutions. This position functions as an integral partner in a variety of HR projects, working closely with the user community outside of HR including IT, Payroll, Finance, or other departments. Maintains and organizes system documentation, including design specifications, process documents, change control documentation, and audit records. Collaborates with end-users and other technical teams (IT, Financial Systems) to develop system policies and procedures. Administers data security within Workday to securely provide needed access to employee, organization, and other vital data. Responds to direct inquiries from Employees, Managers, and Contingent Workers about Workday functionality, access, reporting, and other related topics.

Responsibilities

  • Responds to employee, manager, and HR staff inquiries about HRIS issues. Escalates complex inquiries to appropriate resources within the HRIS team.End to End management and co-ordination of the project and responsible for the successful completion of the project.
  • Provides maintenance and security administration of Workday and other HR systems. Performs administrative tasks generated from Workday processes to ensure accurate and timely completion of system transactions.
  • Analyzes Workday system functionality and contributes to the development of system configurations to minimize redundant data collection and enhance user experience. Evaluates, analyzes, and develops basic solutions that meet customers’ needs in a manner that is appropriate, reproduceable, efficient and within HRIS standards and guidelines. Troubleshoots and resolves basic system, process, and reporting problems.
  • Creates and maintains custom reports using the most appropriate reporting tools to effectively extract information to meet specific business needs. Evaluates incoming report requests for the most effective approach based on customer requirements. Refers report requests that require data analysis to appropriate resources.Project management experience for ERP projects.
  • Provides system and process knowledge to support HR projects requiring HR systems configuration at the department and/or corporate level. Understands and applies established standards around system configuration, end-user testing and documentation, and implementation. Develops basic test scenarios and participates in systems testing. Assists in collection of testing documentation and analysis of results. Identifies and advises partners of risks and downstream impacts of proposed changes. Works with appropriate resources to develop a course of action for remediation of risks.
  • Creates and maintains process and/or procedural documentation. Creates, performs, maintains, and monitors process and system audits and associated documentation. Responds to Internal Audit inquiries for information related to completed system transactions. Maintains system records to ensure that they remain complete, accurate, and auditable.

Minimum Qualifications/ skills

  • Required education: High School diploma.
  • Preferred education: Bachelor’s degree in related field plus experience in systems management and reporting tools or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Required experience: 1-3 years HR experience; 1-3 years HRIS experience including cloud-based HR systems enhancement and support.Preferred experience: Experience administering Workday preferred; Report writing experience preferred.

Preferred Qualifications/ Skills

  • Knowledge of HR issues such as employee relations, benefits, staffing, compensation, legal/compliance and wage and hour.
  • Excellent customer service skills including effective written and verbal communication.
  • Ability to organize work to meet individual and team objectives.
