Java GCP Developer – granby

Job Description

Payrate: CAD $40/hr on INC

We are looking for an experienced Java GCP Developer to design, develop, and deploy cloud-native applications on Google Cloud Platform (GCP). The ideal candidate will possess strong Java expertise and hands-on experience with modern cloud services and development frameworks.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain microservices and cloud-native applications using Java/J2EE, Spring Boot, and related frameworks.
• Design and implement RESTful APIs and integrate with external services.
• Work with GCP services including Compute Engine, Cloud Functions, Pub/Sub, BigQuery, and Cloud Storage.
• Implement application security using Spring Security and best practices.
• Create and maintain unit tests using JUnit, Mockito, etc.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams for high-quality deliverables.
• Monitor and optimize application performance on GCP.

Required Skills

• Strong proficiency in Java, Spring Core, Spring MVC, and Spring Boot.
• GCP Certifications (e.g., Professional Cloud Developer).
• Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Expertise in microservices architecture and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins or GitLab.
• Knowledge of SQL/NoSQL databases and ORM tools like JPA/Hibernate.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with DevOps tools and practices.
• Exposure to Agile methodology.
