Teaching Opportunity in South Korea

Languages Canada is excited to share a new opportunity for Canadian ESL teachers to live and work in South Korea through one of our school partners, which offers a Canadian-style curriculum and a supportive, international work environment.

The school is committed to delivering high-quality education inspired by Canadian teaching practices. Contract Length: 1 year

Student Levels: Early Childhood & Elementary School

School Requirements:

  • Education Required: Bachelor’s Degree
  • Minimum Teaching Experience: 1 year of teaching experience, preferred
  • Required Certificates: TESL/TEFL Certificate over 100 hours

Key Responsibilities:

Curriculum Delivery:

  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons aligned with the school’s curriculum
  • Adapt instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners
  • Develop assessments, assignments, and projects that meet learning objectives

Student Development:

  • Create a positive, inclusive, and respectful classroom environment
  • Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback
  • Support students’ social, emotional, and academic growth

Classroom Management:

  • Maintain a well-organized and safe learning space
  • Promote a collaborative and engaging learning atmosphere

Professional Growth:

  • Participate in ongoing professional development
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance teaching strategies
  • Stay current on best practices in education

Cultural Adaptation:

  • Demonstrate sensitivity to Korean culture and customs
  • Promote intercultural understanding among students
  • Integrate global perspectives in your teaching
