Tenure – Contract (6 – 8 months)

Location – Scarborough, ON

Hours – Mon-Fri, 9 am – 5:30 pm

Workplace Type – Onsite

Salary Range – $50k – $55k/annually

Job Summary:

We are seeking a versatile Recruiter with experience handling manufacturing/plant-floor positions. This role requires strong sourcing skills, a high sense of urgency, and the ability to manage diverse requisitions ranging from engineering, operations, and administrative roles to production, machine operators, and warehouse talent.

The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, builds strong relationships with hiring managers, and understands the unique needs of both corporate and manufacturing recruitment.

Key Responsibilities

Full-Cycle Recruitment

  • Manage end-to-end hiring for both professional/office roles and high-volume manufacturing roles.
  • Partner with hiring managers to understand job requirements, workforce needs, and timelines.
  • Post jobs, screen resumes, conduct interviews, and coordinate the full offer/hiring process.

White-Collar Hiring

  • Recruit for roles such as Engineering, Operations, HR, Admin, Accounting, Supply Chain, and Leadership positions.
  • Present qualified shortlists based on skill, culture fit, and long-term potential.

Manufacturing & Plant Recruitment

  • Recruit for positions such as Machine Operators, Assemblers, Production Leads, Quality Techs, Warehouse Associates, and Maintenance Technicians
  • Conduct high-volume screening and schedule on-site interviews and plant visits.
  • Understand shift schedules, safety requirements, attendance expectations, and production demands when selecting candidates.

Sourcing & Candidate Pipeline Development

  • Source through job boards, social media, internal databases, referrals, and direct outreach.
  • Build and maintain a pipeline of both professional and hourly candidates.
  • Use creative sourcing techniques to fill hard-to-find roles.

Candidate Management & Coordination

  • Conduct phone screens and video interviews to assess technical skills, experience, and job fit.
  • Coordinate plant tours, panel interviews, skills testing, and assessments as needed.
  • Maintain ongoing communication with candidates throughout the hiring cycle.

Compliance, Reporting & Process Management

  • Maintain accurate candidate data in ATS systems.
  • Track daily recruiting metrics (submissions, interviews, offers, starts).
  • Ensure compliance with hiring policies, EEO guidelines, and background screening requirements.

Required Qualifications

  • 1-2 years of recruitment experience in manufacturing/blue-collar roles.
  • Experience working in fast-paced staffing or high-volume recruitment environments.
  • Strong communication, coordination, and stakeholder-management skills.
  • Ability to work independently while supporting multiple hiring managers.
