The Training Solution Execution – Domain SME (Air Combat Systems Officer/Airborne Electronic Sensor Operator) will work on training solutions and courseware for aircrew programs. They will be responsible to support the training solution execution alongside the Training Solution Execution leads, Project Managers, and Instructional Systems Designers. This includes analyzing training needs, risks and issues and helping to align the training plans and courseware solutions with engineering device teams and training center operation teams.
During their day-to-day, they will help guide SME-Developers in the production of Courseware materials and provide peer reviews for technical accuracy an alignment to training plan, as well as performing hands-on courseware development and production themselves.
Duties may include:
Participate in TNA/TMA and TP development and updates
Participate in and/or gather understanding of standards and processes from which the training solution is derived (e.g. JTAR, QS)
Work with the Engineering team to understand the device capabilities
Help the CW development team understand the device capabilities
Support development of device end-user CONOPs describing how each device fits into the training solution
Create Module Outlines for courseware development
Participate in reviewing timelines and schedules when applicable to the project
Participate in any other analyses required for aligning courseware and devices, or for new scope impact
Participate in devices computer guided features (CGT, Maestro) and Interactive Media Instruction (IMI) development and production
May support verification and validation of device computer guided tasks and regression testing
Assure communication with customer for data requests
Escalates risks related to the training solution
Help to identify customer expectations that are out of scope
Support tracking of legacy program decisions
Act as mentor, escalation point, and peer reviewer for SME developers on the program
Occasional travel may be required
Requirements
5+ years of experience with courseware programs
Qualified Canadian Forces ACSO/AES Op with 10+ years of Air Force experience
Must be eligible to obtain a security clearance with access to NATO secret documents and adhere to ITAR requirements
