Associate Lawyer, Insurance Defense

Responsibilities:

  • Provide legal analysis and strategic advice in litigation matters, with a focus on specialty lines of insurance, coverage, subrogation, product liability, professional liability, transportation, civil litigation and commercial general liability
  • Manage coverage and litigation files in collaboration with partners, from initial assessment through pleadings, motions, discoveries, mediations, pre-trials, and trials
  • Maintain strong relationships with insurers and insured clients
  • Appear in court, independently or with partners, to argue motions and attend pre-trials, mediations, and hearings
  • Assist with, or independently conduct, trial preparations and represent clients at trials

Requirements:

  • 2–5 years of litigation experience
  • Experience in insurance coverage matters is an asset, but not required.
  • Flexible work arrangements available (hybrid or remote).
