Description

Looking for an analytical individual who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and is capable of providing reliable, timely, and accurate information to perform various tasks, such as data analysis, account reconciliation and leading and assisting with ad hoc requests within the payroll department.

Daily tasks and responsibilities

• Prepares, analyses, and reconciles payroll G/L accounts.

• Prepares various financial and payroll analyses using a variety of programs such as Google Docs, Word, and Excel.

• Uses in-depth technical knowledge of SAP, Employee Central, and Workforce Management and the complexities of a retroactive system, along with comprehensive payroll knowledge to ensure compliance and accuracy.

• Communicates with third-party vendors, US payroll department, consultants, government, or other parties.

• Performs and coordinates internal audits and compliance reviews on complex files/data using Excel or any other tools as it relates to Payroll.

• Assists in the preparation of year-end remittances, 3rd party vendors, while analyzing complex data.

• Prepares, posts and reviews journal entries.

• Provides and ensures prompt, courteous, and accurate service/support to all locations.

• Ensures policies and procedures are consistent with the practices of the company, such as the Employee Agreement.

• Other duties, special projects and tasks as requested.

• Maintains a high level of confidentiality.

Requirements/Qualifications

• Education/Training:

A college diploma or university degree in accounting or finance is required.

CPA Designation or currently enrolled in the CPA professional Education Program is preferred

• Experience:

Two years’ experience in accounting, finance or equivalent is required.

Experience in Payroll is preferred.

Knowledge of SAP, Employee Central, and Workforce Management systems or other, is preferred.

• Knowledge/Skills:

Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and Google Docs is required. (Candidates will be tested).

Creative thinker with strong problem-solving skills is required (Candidates will be tested).

The ability to work independently and collaboratively with minimal supervision is required.

Bilingualism (English and French), Strong communication (written & oral) and interpersonal skills are required. (Candidates will be tested).

Detailed-oriented and ability to maintain thoroughness and accuracy while meeting deadlines.

Strong time management and organizational skills, ability to rapidly change direction or priority while effectively prioritizing and meeting non-negotiable timelines.

The candidate must display a strong sense of urgency and responsibility.
