We’re partnering with a major unionized food manufacturer to hire a driven Maintenance Manager who can elevate plant performance and keep operations running flawlessly. If you bring strong leadership in maintenance—especially within rendering, edible oils, or high-temperature processing—you’ll thrive in this role.

Maintenance Manager Details:

  • Monday-Friday, Day Shift
  • $135K-$165K based on qualifications
  • + bonus
  • Benefits from day 1
  • 3 Weeks vacation

Maintenance Manager Responsibilities:

  • Set key production metrics (efficiency, uptime, reliability)
  • Oversee daily maintenance activities and support technicians
  • Ensure compliance with GMPs, HACCP, and food safety standards
  • Optimize equipment design and departmental processes
  • Manage maintenance budgets and cost-saving initiatives
  • Collaborate with various teams and lead the maintenance department
  • Maintain safety and operational standards in food processing equipment
  • Continuously improve maintenance processes and monitor policies
  • Train staff and ensure adherence to safety regulations

Maintenance Manager Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree: a professional designation in engineering or equivalent
  • 443A or 442A an asset
  • 5 years of experience in a food manufacturing setting as a Sr. Maintenance Manager is a must
  • Proven experience in maintenance management, particularly in a rendering environment, Oil & gas , edible oil processing or similar industries preferred.
  • Experience with centrifugal equipment a must.
  • Strong background in rendering processes is essential.
  • Experience with CAPEX management and Project Management
  • Experience implementing safety policies and procedures
  • Experience implementing maintenance tracking and work order systems or programs an asset
  • Experience in budgeting and cost management within maintenance operations.
