Why this role matters

Demand for Azure infrastructure services is growing across our clients. We’re hiring a hands‑on Practice Lead who will shape our Azure offerings and delivery model.

What you’ll do

As a Practice Lead, you will:

  • Own the Azure practice direction: shape offerings, go‑to‑market, and repeatable delivery assets (templates, runbooks, accelerators).
  • Enable pre‑sales: scope engagements, contribute to proposals, and help keep a healthy pipeline.
  • Coach & multiply: mentor consultants, uphold delivery standards, and help us scale quality.

Core responsibilities include (but are not limited to)

  • Design & build Azure Landing Zones aligned to Microsoft’s Cloud Adoption Framework (CAF), with secure, scalable guardrails.
  • Deploy and manage Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) end‑to‑end (images, FSLogix, scaling, monitoring).
  • Design BCDR: implement backup, disaster recovery, and high‑availability strategies using Azure‑native and partner solutions.
  • Integrate hybrid environments: connect on‑prem networks, identity, and workloads to Azure with a security‑first approach.
  • Consult with customers 100% project‑focused (discovery, design, implementation, documentation, and knowledge transfer).
  • Collaborate with peers (multiple Azure architects/consultants) to deliver predictable, repeatable outcomes.
  • Work remotely within Canada with flexible availability to serve customers across Canadian time zones (core collaboration hours agreed with the team).

What you bring

Must‑have

  • Proven experience in consulting, infrastructure, and solution architecture for Microsoft Azure.
  • Azure Landing Zones & CAF; hybrid integration (networking, identity, workloads).
  • AVD hands‑on skills (Azure compute, images, automation, cost optimization).
  • Automation & scripting: PowerShell, Azure CLI/REST; IaC familiarity (Bicep/ARM/Terraform a plus).
  • Windows Server and Microsoft Entra ID foundations (RBAC, Conditional Access).
  • Security & compliance awareness across Microsoft 365 (Purview, Defender).
  • Excellent communication and problem‑solving skills with customer‑ready documentation.

Nice‑to‑have

  • Azure Local exposure; VMware and Hyper‑V knowledge.
  • Nerdio, Citrix, and broader VDI experience.
  • Backup tools such as Veeam (and similar solutions like Acronis, etc.).
  • Experience with performance testing tools (e.g., Login VSI) and monitoring (Azure Monitor, Log Analytics).
  • Familiarity with Microsoft partner programs/processes.

Education & Certifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/IT or equivalent experience.
  • Certifications are a plus; we support continuous learning. Priority: AZ‑104 (Administrator), AZ‑305 (Architect), and AZ‑140 (AVD). Willingness to pursue/maintain these is expected.

Compensation & benefits

We offer competitive total compensation aligned to level and impact, plus bonus eligibility. Final offer depends on skills, experience, role level, internal equity, and location within Canada. We may also consider a personalized development plan for rising candidates.
