Our esteemed client, a leading national business law firm, is growing its Paralegal team and is currently seeking a full-time Corporate Paralegal to join its Calgary office. This is an excellent opportunity for an intermediate-level Paralegal who is looking for a dynamic, engaging role within a collaborative and highly regarded firm.

What You’ll Do

Working closely with lawyers, Paralegals, and legal administrative professionals, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality legal services to a diverse client base. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Preparing Alberta and federal incorporations, amendments, amalgamations, continuances, and dissolutions
  • Managing ongoing corporate maintenance, including public companies, and preparing documentation for annual meetings, resolutions, and related filings
  • Assisting with business name registrations, partnership and limited partnership registrations, and extra-provincial registrations
  • Conducting due diligence and minute book reviews, preparing reports on issues and deficiencies, and drafting required updating documents
  • Supporting corporate transactions, including drafting, organizing, and finalizing transaction documents, assisting with closings, and preparing closing books
  • Ensuring compliance with applicable statutory requirements and providing input on corporate compliance matters
  • Updating and maintaining information within the firm’s corporate database

What You Bring

  • A minimum of three to five years of intermediate-level corporate experience and CORES Level III certification
  • Strong knowledge of legal and technical procedures, statutes, regulations, and applicable governmental practices
  • Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills, with a high level of attention to detail
  • The ability to manage competing deadlines, work effectively within a team environment, and provide exceptional client service
  • Comfort with evolving technology and strong proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Prior experience with iManage, Intapp, and 3E, or similar document management and timekeeping systems
  • Experience with corporate data management cloud-based software (MinuteBox preferred) is considered an asset
