Your Role:

  • Promote a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with ESA Regulation 22/04 and internal procedures.
  • Conduct safety meetings, onsite inspections, and incident investigations; recommend corrective actions.
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate hazardous conditions.
  • Plan and schedule overhead and underground construction and maintenance activities.
  • Coordinate emergency repairs and system restorations.
  • Monitor project progress and ensure milestones are met.
  • Review and interpret electrical drawings and designs.
  • Support design team with field interpretations and billing.
  • Mentor design team members. Maintain positive customer and stakeholder relationships.
  • Inspect materials, workmanship, and safety practices for compliance with standards.
  • Issue deficiency notices and ensure corrective actions.
  • Validate completion packages including as-builts, documentation, and material returns.
  • Collaborate with design teams during planning and construction phases.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Red Seal Power Line Technician certification.
  • Supervisory experience in a utility environment
  • Knowledge of Toronto Hydro distribution systems (13.8kV, 27.6kV, 4kV, Network & Box Systems).
  • Familiarity with Utility Work Protection Code (UWPC).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Occupational Health & Safety Certification.
  • Valid driver’s licence.
