Our client located in the Greater Toronto Area (GTA) is currently looking for a Bilingual Director of Social Services.

Salary range: $144,000-$158,000

This role offers:

In this role, you will be responsible for:

  • Leading and managing a team of social workers who deliver services to students within the school environment.
  • Providing supervision, mentorship, and training to staff.
  • Evaluating the team’s performance and ensuring effective service delivery.
  • Understanding and fostering partnerships with community organizations.
  • Collaborating to develop and implement solutions to optimize service delivery and potentially reorganize services.
  • Managing a dynamic and complex team environment, including addressing union-related matters.

The ideal candidate will/must have:

  • Fluently bilingual in both French and English
  • A Master’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Psychology, Social Work, Psychotherapy, etc.).
  • A minimum of five (5) years of management experience.
  • Professional certification with the Social Worker (OCSWSSW), Registered Psychotherapists (CRPT) or Certified Mental Health Nurse or Psychiatric Nurse
  • Knowledge of or experience within the education sector.
  • Experience working in a unionized environment.
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license and a reliable vehicle.

Work Location:

Depending on your residence, you may work out of the North York office or be assigned an office at a school or other point of service.
