About the Opportunity
- Support and participate in internal quality, compliance, and safety programs as required
- Prepare and process daily cash receipts and deposits; coordinate with internal teams for accurate posting
- Accurately and timely apply electronic payments to customer accounts
- Review and release customer orders in accordance with established credit and payment guidelines
- Proactively contact customers to arrange payment and resolve order holds
- Monitor, investigate, and follow up on customer deductions, short payments, and discrepancies
- Actively manage and collect past-due receivables through email and phone outreach
- Partner with internal stakeholders to track and reduce outstanding receivables and deductions
- Assist team members as workload and priorities require
- Ensure all cash receipts, adjustments, and reconciliations are completed for month-end close
- Support overall departmental operations and contribute to ad hoc projects as assigned
- Maintain strong attendance, follow safe work practices, and safeguard confidential information
About You
- Post-secondary degree or diploma in Business, Finance, Accounting, or a related field
- Prior experience in Accounts Receivable or a finance-related function
- Strong numerical aptitude with excellent attention to detail
- Ability to work with urgency while meeting deadlines accurately
- Proven customer service and issue-resolution skills
- Quick learner who is comfortable with routine and repetitive tasks
- High level of integrity, confidentiality, and accountability
- Strong work ethic with a positive, team-oriented attitude
- Ability to remain calm and effective in fast-paced or high-pressure situations
- Clear and professional verbal and written communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
- Working knowledge of general accounting principles and receivables processes
- Experience using financial or ERP systems considered an asset
Pay Range
$22 – $25 / hour
