Job Summary:As a member of the Multidisciplinary Health Care team, co-ordinates, performs and evaluates Diagnostic Services examination within the specific modalities and disciplines.Benefits:Funded professional development opportunityHighly competitive salary, pension and benefitsRelocation assistanceQualifications:Must have a willingness to attend required training to become a licensed Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologist.Graduate of a recognized Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) training program and Certified by the Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (CAMRT) is an assetMinimum of one year experience in an MRI setting is preferredApplicants must either possess a current practice license with the College of Medical Radiation and Imaging Technologists of Ontario (CMRITO) in Radiography, Nuclear Medicine, Radiation Therapy, or Ultrasonography, OR have completed a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a registered health professional program, including six credit hours each in Human Anatomy & Physiology and a health care-related subject (e.G., pathology, ethics, psychology, sociology, medical research, etc.).Certification in Contrast Injection or willingness to obtain training is preferredMagnetic Resonance Safety Officer (MRSO) Certification or willingness to obtain training is preferredDemonstrated effective communication and interpersonal skills, with a compassionate and patient-centered approachEffective problem-solving skills, critical thinking and the ability to prioritize in a fast-paced clinical environmentAbility to work within limited direct supervision as well as collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team environmentJob Duties:Performs diagnostic MRI scans according to established protocols, adapting for patient condition or clinical judgment to ensure high-quality imaging and diagnostic accuracy.Works collaboratively with radiologists, physicians, and other technologists to support timely and accurate diagnoses while also supporting patient care.Demonstrates cultural humility and awareness when engaging with patients from diverse backgrounds, particularly Indigenous and surrounding First Nations communities in Northwestern Ontario.Performs routine quality assurance and equipment safety checks to ensure compliance with equipment standards and regulatory expectations.Competition No. RAD 02-25 Please quote on your application.Job Types: Full-time, PermanentPay: $40.49-$55.88 per hourExpected hours: 37.5 per weekBenefits:Company pensionDental careDisability insuranceEmployee assistance programExtended health careLife insuranceOn-site parkingPaid time offRelocation assistanceVision careWellness programAbility to commute/relocate:Sioux Lookout, ON P8T 1H5: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)Application question(s):
