About Resonance HR Law

Resonance HR Law is a growing multidisciplinary firm working at the intersection of employment/labour law, HR strategy, conflict resolution, and organizational development. We help organizations navigate complex people issues with a blend of legal insight, HR expertise, and practical, human-centred problem solving.

We’re seeking a Senior Consultant with strong expertise in at least one of our core practice areas and a curiosity to grow across disciplines, including:

  • Employment/labour law
  • HR leadership & strategy
  • ADR, mediation, conflict resolution
  • Organizational development or change management
  • Workplace assessments, culture reviews, governance work

What You’ll Do

  • Advise clients on complex people and workplace issues
  • Lead or support workplace assessments and investigations
  • Facilitate mediation, ADR, and conflict resolution processes
  • Support culture-building, change management, and OD initiatives
  • Work across HR, legal, and organizational development contexts
  • Expand into new practice areas with mentorship and training

Workplace investigations are a core service – you must bring experience or the commitment and aptitude to develop this skill.

  • Excellent judgment and decision-making
  • High-quality writing skills (reports, assessments, findings, client communications)
  • Ability to handle sensitive, emotionally complex matters with neutrality
  • Discretion, ethics, and professionalism
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage ambiguity and navigate complex workplace dynamics
  • Comfort working independently and in a small multidisciplinary team
  • Trauma-informed and people-centred approach

Education & Designations

Not all required, but commonly expected or beneficial:

  • Degree in law, organizational psychology, conflict resolution, or related field
  • Certification in human resources
  • CPHR (or in progress) or equivalent HR designation (asset)
  • ADR or mediation certification (asset)
  • Investigation training (Harassment investigations, trauma-informed interviewing, etc.)
  • Advanced facilitation or OD training (asset)

Additional Assets (Not Required)

  • An existing or emerging client base
  • Bilingualism (English/French)
  • Proximity to Saint John, NB for in-person collaboration
