Description

The Maintenance Mechanic works alongside Production and Maintenance Managers to ensure continuous and smooth plant performance.

Responsibilities

  • Keep the work area clean and safe by following established procedures, policies, and regulations.
  • Respond to emergency, unplanned, and scheduled maintenance needs for production equipment during operations.
  • Set up, prepare, and commission machinery and equipment for planned production runs.
  • Perform preventive maintenance tasks and organize work based on priority and production demands.
  • Maintain proper operation of machinery and mechanical systems by carrying out preventive maintenance on motors, pneumatic systems, conveyors, and production equipment, using technical drawings, manuals, manufacturer guidelines, and engineering specifications to diagnose and resolve issues.
  • Utilize mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic skills to troubleshoot and repair production machinery.
  • Review and interpret equipment documentation and work orders to complete maintenance and service activities.
  • Use basic computer applications, including Microsoft Word and Excel, for documentation and reporting.
  • Communicate clearly and effectively in both written and verbal forms.
  • Be available to work overtime when necessary.
  • Supply a basic set of personal tools; a tool allowance is provided to assist with acquiring additional tools.

Skills & Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent experience.
  • Valid 433A certification.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently for extended periods without direct supervision.
  • Ability to follow standard procedures while supporting company-wide operational, service, and safety guidelines.
  • Strong organizational skills.
