<p><b>CONTRACT</b></p><p><b>Term:</b> 3–6 months</p><p><b>Location:</b> Toronto</p><p><br></p><p><b>Our Client</b></p><p>Our client is a well-established, purpose-driven organization in the pension and investment space, operating in a growing, entrepreneurial environment. The organization is headquartered in downtown Toronto and follows a <b>highly flexible hybrid work model</b>.</p><p><br></p><p>This is a contract opportunity with an expected initial commitment of <b>3–6 months</b>, with the potential for extension. The role supports the Legal team as a shared resource rather than working one-to-one with a single executive.</p><p><br></p><p>The environment values professionalism, discretion, adaptability, and strong judgment. Candidates with<b> in-house legal support</b> <b>experience </b>will be best positioned to succeed given the nature of the work and the team’s pace.</p><p><br></p><p><b>Responsibilities</b></p><p>• Provide day-to-day administrative and operational support to the Legal and Governance team</p><p>• Support legal operations across a team of approximately 10 professionals</p><p>• Manage shared inboxes and coordinate incoming legal requests</p><p>• Organize and maintain legal files, document repositories, and contract records</p><p>• Draft, format, proofread, and circulate legal and governance documentation</p><p>• Lead NDA intake processes and support NDA reviews and tracking</p><p>• Coordinate calendars, meetings, events, team lunches, and internal initiatives</p><p>• Track regulatory updates and assist with gathering information from the external legal landscape</p><p>• Prepare materials for meetings, maintain action items, and follow up on next steps</p><p>• Support internal expense reporting, travel coordination, and logistics as required</p><p>• Assist with internal events and cross-functional initiatives</p><p>• Provide backup support to other administrative professionals during absences, as needed</p><p>• Adapt quickly to evolving priorities and shifting workflows in a growing organization</p><p><br></p><p><b>Requirements</b></p><p>• 5+ years of proven experience supporting legal teams in a corporate or professional environment</p><p>• In-house legal support experience</p><p>• Experience drafting, reviewing, and formatting legal or governance documentation</p><p>• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities independently</p><p>• High attention to detail and strong follow-through</p><p>• Clear and professional written and verbal communication skills</p><p>• Comfort managing calendars, inboxes, and document workflows for multiple stakeholders</p><p>• Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office (particularly Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint)</p><p>• Experience working with document or knowledge management systems is an asset</p><p>• Confidence working in a lean environment without rigid processes or playbooks</p><p>• Professionalism, discretion, and sound judgment when handling confidential information</p><p>• Self-starter mindset with the ability to problem-solve and take ownership</p><p>• Comfort working in a hybrid environment with an in-office expectation</p><p><br></p><p><b>REF #LI1547</b></p>
